In Schnauz!, players and the center each receive 3 cards. The objective is to have the highest point total at the end of the round. Players lacking enough points lose a life. Cards can be exchanged with those in the center during the game.
Players can choose to close their cards if they believe they can't improve further, ending the round when it is their turn again.
